When restored, the unique mix of experiences at the Mint will include:
Visitor Information Center (VIC) There is not a single building big enough to house all of the area's important artifacts, stories, and experiences. The VIC provides guest the ability to search and customize information to meet their personal travel interests. Information specialists will provide indepth knowledge on the area's cultural assets and current events. Explore! A new Visitor's Information Center will offer customized travel-related information and advice in 12 languages. It will become a starting point for visitors to the Bay Area, offering a comprehensive and personalized orientation to a vast network of cultural institutions, historic sites and landmarks.
- Visitors will be able to choose from more than 100 historical and cultural threads to customize their travels based on personal interests related to a specific historical era, their cultural identity or an interesting subject
- Numerous Guided tours, walking and motorized, led by volunteer docents and subject matter experts will also be available, departing regularly from the Mint
