Economic Impact
Located at 5th and Mission streets in downtown San Francisco, the $95 million project will contribute to the economic recovery of the Bay Area by creating more than 1,000 new jobs.Mint Project Direct and Indirect Economic Impacts
Through the Construction Phase, the project is expected to inject close to $150 million of economic stimulus to the region - creating 227 pre-construction jobs and another 729 jobs during the construction phase. The Mint Project will be an important dynamic catalyst for economic activity, particularly in the Yerba Buena and Mid-Market Neighborhoods. Our momentum to date enables us to be 'shovel ready' in 12 months, once we have raised an additional $20 million of funding on top of the $13 - $15 million secured for construction already.
When completed, the Mint Project will draw between 1 and 1.5 million people to downtown San Francisco each year generating regional economic benefits of $46 million new sales (output) annually, plus 375 new jobs and annual tax revenues of at least $836,000.
